The Gift of an Education

A smile and a Hello Kitty t-shirt present the appearance of a happy little schoolgirl. While this is the case, there is often a larger backstory that we cannot see when seeing a photo like this one.

My little friend here is an orphan. I’m not sure of the details but she lives with extended family in our community. Being a child in this situation is not great in the Philippines as your already limited opportunities become even less. Often one of the first things to go is the chance of an education.

It gives us great joy to ensure little ones like this are supported to go to school and receive the gift of an education. That’s what is achievable through the social enterprise of Noble Endeavours’ Milking Goat program. Who could imagine that the sale of goat’s milk cannot only feed a multitude but educate a multitude too.
